A Study on the Ergonomic Job Assessment for the Analysis of Musculoskeletal Burden at Vocational Rehabilitation Center : focused on the toilet paper product facility

Abstract

|
This study was conducted for the analysis of musculoskeletal burden the people with disabilities and the finding of task coaching alternative at vocational rehabilitation center. The subject center of this study located in Seoul metropolitan area, which mainly produces toilet paper products relevant to secondary industry. As the assessment tools, I adopted the OWAS(Ovako Work Analysis System), REBA(Rapidly Entire Body Assessment), QEC(Quick Exposure Check) and investigated with regard to the suitability of test analysis, applicability of the subjects, characteristics of the task. The study showed risks of occurring musculoskeletal burden all task process, and found high risk of occurring musculoskeletal burden some process. Therefore improvement of task coaching and alleviation of physical burden of the workers during the work process are suggested. In addition, I propose attention of administrator and the government’s support for the prevent of musculoskeletal diseases of people with disabilities at vocational rehabilitation centers.
